Internal Family Systems (IFS):
As a Catholic mental health professional, I integrate faith and compassion into my practice, prioritizing healing grounded in love, faith, and ethical principles.
What is Internal Family Systems?
IFS is a therapy approach that views each person as having a system of inner "parts," like a family, which includes protective and wounded parts guided by a central core called the "Self." These parts can take on extreme roles in response to life's challenges, but the Self remains intact, wise, and capable of healing.
IFS helps individuals connect with their Self to understand and heal these inner parts. It’s an evidence-based therapy that promotes deeper inner harmony and stronger connections with others.
Beyond therapy, IFS is a way to approach relationships and life with the 8 Cs: confidence, calm, compassion, courage, creativity, clarity, curiosity, and connectedness. Professionals from various fields, including mediators, educators, coaches, and faith leaders, also use IFS principles to enrich their work and relationships.
IFS is more than therapy—it’s a perspective and a path to personal growth and connection.
Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.
